Kelly has been a qualified teacher for over twenty years and enjoyed a long career at Bealings, before leaving to set up the Clubhouse in 2023. During her time in mainstream she has been SENDco, Designated Safeguarding Lead and Co-headteacher, as well as having taught across the primary age range.
Now she spends her term time working as a Mentor for home-educated children with ReNaturing and her school holidays running the Clubhouse!
Finlay works as both a finance administrator and teaching assistant, and is a firm favourite amongst the children. Finlay celebrates the uniqueness of every child and is committed to encouraging individuality and ensuring equality. She is mother to teenage twin-boys and spends much of her spare time on a bike or a paddle board.
Gaynor has almost 25 years experience working in education across schools in both Essex and Suffolk. She specialises in special needs support and is highly trained in this area. Gaynor has worked as both a one-to-one teaching assistant and a general learning support assistant. She currently makes up part of the teaching team in key stage one at Bealings and is also the school Netball Team Manager – this means she is known and loved by all children, from the youngest to the very oldest.
Being a positive, energetic and creative soul, Hetty has a natural affinity with children and sees the beautiful and unique qualities that each one of them holds. Hetty is a qualified teacher and has held the roles of SENDco and DSL in recent years, before leaving mainstream education in the summer to become a Lead-Tutor with Lapwing. We are lucky to have her on the team.
Sadie has worked at the Clubhouse since it opened in 2023. She has over 10 years experience working with adults with learning difficulties and brings her naturally nurturing personality and experienced care-giving skills to her role as houseparent.
Duncan was the visionary headteacher of Bealings School before retiring in the summer of 2023. Over his 27 years at Bealings, he co-created a democratic and magical place of learning where children were at the heart of all decision-making.
